Lean Manufacturing Process Manager
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Six-Sigma Black Belt/Lean Leader will lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) effort for Insulet. A proven Change Agent, the successful candidate will employ world-class Six-Sigma and Lean methodologies to drive Process Improvement and Cost-Reduction in all aspects of the Business. In addition, the candidate will provide leadership and mentorship to other Lean Six Sigma practitioners and business associates, in order to foster the Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization.
Serve as Change Agent by partnering with Functional Leaders to challenge conventional thinking and to implement strategies to drive out Waste and Process Variation
Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to identify and to execute Lean Six Sigma and Value Engineering projects, in order to deliver significant Process Improvement and Cost Reduction to the Business
Achieve Cost Reduction Targets with regular updates to Senior Management. This involves working with Finance to validate all benefits.
Collaborate with other Business Functions (Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering) to identify and to execute project opportunities, in Operational and Transactional spaces
Foster Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization, by mentoring and assisting other Lean Six Sigma practitioners, and by sharing Best Practices
Provide oversight for all Lean Six Sigma projects and conduct timely progress communications to all stakeholders
Integrate Lean Six Sigma Best Practices in everyday business processes, including extending internal strategies and tools to external channels (suppliers and distributers), in order to provide additional value to the Business
Facilitate, train, and coach operational team members in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools to drive sustained improvements
Bachelor's degree in Technical discipline, MBA is preferred
Minimum of ten years business experience in roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience in Finance, Service, Operations or Technology; Medical Device and/or Life Sciences industry experience is preferred.
Practical experience with Six Sigma tools, Lean Thinking principles, and Team Facilitation. Professional Quality certification is preferred.
Formal training in Six Sigma and Lean (continuous improvement) methodologies required. Professional Quality certification is strongly preferred.
